Week Ten

It truly amazes me how I literally have not had to "plan ahead" each week for most of my projects. The Lord has simply laid upon my heart or presented opportunities amongst my daily routines. Honestly, when God convicted me about this project, my first thought was, "How on earth am I going to come up with FIFTY-TWO projects?" As if people in need is limited or God's work is even remotely close to being done. God has more than subtlety let me know that he is not asking me to be creative, but simply willing and to have a little faith. He will do the rest, and he most definitely has!

This week, as I was purchasing Carlee's first "Baby Praise" video at Lifeway (by the way this a great thing for little ones. I highly recommend them), the store's employee presented an opportunity to purchase a $5 Bible for men and women in prison. I thought that this was a great ministry, so I was happy to contribute God's word for such a small price.

However, as I was leaving the store God asked me to go just a little bit further. What about the people in this community? Are there people who may not be able to afford a Bible? I was convinced that they existed, especially in this economy. So, I decided to purchase a Bible, place a PFP slip on the cover, and ask the nice young lady to distribute it someone in need.

She told me that it would not be hard to find someone needing a Bible and that people do enter the book store who cannot afford a $30-$40 Bible. She was happy to help me be God's hands and feet for this project. And honestly, what could be greater than feeding someone's hunger for God's Word? God's grace is free, shouldn't His Word be also? That is where God's church comes in to play.

So church, if you are at a Lifeway within the next couple of weeks, please purchase a Bible for those who are in prison. They have a lot of time on their hands, and what could be more life changing than reading God's Word? Secondly, if you have recently felt convicted to do your own "Pretty Feet Projects", but can't come up with any "good" ideas, please don't let that hold you back! Just print off some of the PFP slips, stick them in your car, pray, and say "yes" to God's leading! I promise he will do the rest!!
