Week 13

This week, I have been thinking a lot about the one day mission's blitz our church is going to participate in next week called "Operation Inasmuch". We are pretty excited about serving our community in this way. With 16 groups going out, we have over 150 people signed up to reach people in need. We have people participating in a variety of activities ranging from, hospital and nursing home ministry, visiting and serving shut-ins, paying for people's laundry,  delivering firewood, providing for needy children in our schools, and paying for people food at local fast food chains.

In preparation for these ministries, I decided to jump start it a little early. As I was getting a coke in the McDonald's drive thru on Saturday (I don't know why, but McDonald's coke tastes so much better than any other), I decided to pay for the man's meal behind me. It was funny to watch his expression as the worker handed him a "Pretty Feet" slip that told him his meal was paid for. Just a very small gesture of what true Christianity is supposed be.

Be sure to read next week's blog on all the amazing testimonies I expect to occur of how God moved in the life of our community. I know God will bless our church's efforts!!
